The weekly Family Planning Clinical Conferences were originally initiated over 20 years ago to provide Emory medical students, residents, faculty and staff at the Grady Memorial Hospital campus exposure to relevant and useful information in Reproductive Healthcare.
The recent redesign of the existing lecture program into the Family Planning Clinical Conference series offers an opportunity to provide an expansion of information related to contraception and reproductive heatlh to Emory medical students, residents, staff and faculty, regardless of clinical site.

The learning objectives for the Family Planning Clinical Conferences are as follows: 1) Enhance the knowledge of medical students and healthcare providers in order to increase patient education in and access to contraception and reproductive health care, 2) Enhance the skill set in the clinical delivery of contraception and reproductive health care, and 3) Enhance the exposure of the multi-disciplinary activities of the Family Planning Division of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Emory and its partners in research, public health, and international health. |
